California Gourds Got Video

We've just added a couple short "how to" videos to our website (Gourd Videos) for those of you who are still wondering whether gourds are the art medium for you. We've started with the most frequently asked question, which is "what is a gourd" and then "how to tell how thick a gourd is without cutting it open". This last one can be really useful when deciding what kind of art project to do on a particular gourd. You wouldn't want to pick a really thin gourd to carve your design into. The thin ones are best for painting and more surface designs where you won't be cutting the gourd at all. Stay tuned for more free videos! We're having fun, showing you the gourd basics!
